Commercial Structuring Manager for Renewable Energy Projects

Location
Compiègne, Paris or Mulhouse
Tasks
- Secure the best commercial return/risk position of a project and identify sources of profitability gains and risk mitigation measures in coordination with our competent departments up to the final investment decision
- Be involved in the origination and the commercial negotiation of project contracts (such as supply and service agreements, direct marketing, insurances, electricity offtake)
- Verify the completeness of project rights and contracts required at ready-to-build stage
- Follow-up on project progress, manage risks and monitor the budget until project commissioning
- Prepare investment decisions/information materials for management boards, investors and various departments
- Lead regular project meetings and coordinate tasks with various departments located in France and other countries
- Monitor and integrate updated economic assumptions in an Excel-based cash flow model
- Develop processes and improve tools for cash flow calculations, business projections and indicators
- Regularly report to the business controlling and executive management about project KPIs
- Prepare tariff tender application files and management decisions together with our Energy Markets department
- Order independent studies and assess commercial implications from the results (e.g. energy yield, legal, technical and other)
- Be involved in project partnership activities from a commercial perspective
- Participate in business events organized by French associations or law firms active in the wind energy sector
Requirements
- Good degree (business/engineering school or university), in finance accounting, controlling, commercial project engineering or related
- 5+ years of experience in the fields of investment management, transaction services, or infrastructure asset valuation/advisory
- Solid knowledge in financial modelling, capital markets and procurement
- Fluent in French and English, additional language such as German is a plus
- Excellent skills in MS Office, i.e. Word, Powerpoint and Excel (VBA skills are a plus)
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
